McDowell Creek at Westmoreland Road

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services plans to restore 2,500 Linear Feet of the McDowell Creek corridor from just above Westmoreland Road to the County Park property. This project is in cooperation with the Town of Cornelius as they are designing a stream enhancement project just upstream of this section along the Dane’s Creek tributary. The project will include stream restoration that would improve water quality and habitat and stabilize the stream banks for ecological and water quality uplift.
