Here are a few FAQs about the West Branch Rocky River Phase 2 Stream Restoration project.

The clearing/tree removal looks like a lot, is it within the project scope or has something changed?

Yes, this is the same design with same amount of cleaning as presented early on. Because the existing stream banks are eroded 15 feet vertical in height, the soil must by removed to create a gentle slope for replanting new vegetation. 

The heavy equipment has torn up the ground and created paths/ruts, will those be fixed back and if so, when?

Yes, as the project areas are completed. 

What comes next to finish the project?

Grading is anticipated to be completed by September 2024 with final tree planting next winter.
